Meet Achini
Hello, I’m Achini, the founder, design director, and the face behind Colour By Chi. I’m passionate about providing creative guidance to help families enhance their homes & create spaces that are a true reflection of their vision. I understand the importance of living in a space you wholeheartedly cherish. Regardless of your home’s size, I believe it should be much more than a mere collection of costly decorations.
How did I get here?
I’m an interior designer, colour consultant, a wife, and a mother of two wonderful children, living in Northwest Sydney. My journey into the design realm commenced as a student of interior design. I completed my HND in Interior Design at the Academy of Design and obtained a Bachelor of Design in Interior Design at Raffles College of Design & Commerce in Sydney. My academic achievements include an excellence award in interior design and an academic director’s award for the bachelor’s degree.
I’ve dedicated over a decade to the design industry, working with interior design firms and project home builders. In 2021, following the arrival of baby number two, things completely changed in my world. All I could think of was creating my own business and immersing myself in what I’m truly passionate about, all while spending more quality time with my family. So, in 2022, I took the bold step to venture out on my own and pursue my passion. I now engage in projects involving new home construction, renovations, and interior makeovers, while extending my consulting services to custom home builders in Sydney.
Today, I spend my days helping clients shape their dream homes, chasing after my kids, and managing a design business I hold close to my heart!
